Paul Bunyan's Sweetheart Lucette
Woodsman Paul Bunyan's 17-foot-tall sweetheart, Lucette Diana Kensack, was built in 1952 by Doad Schroeder from fiberglass and wood. The original statue was erected for the town in 1991, and the character was named in a contest. Located nearby is a city park, playground, picnic shelter, fishing pier, boat ramp, and a chainsaw carving of Paul.
Lucette is located in the town park. There is a playground, picnic shelter, visitor center, fishing docks and the cutest little library you have ever seen.
